Go Red Leader
Make the kids lunch…pick up the house…work…stop off at the grocery store…homework help — sound familiar? Women don’t stop all day long because we always take care of the ones we love. When I first heard of Go Red for Women from the American Heart Association, what struck me is that women often overlook their own stressors and ignore symptoms related to their health. That’s why I’ve supported the education efforts Go Red provides about heart disease symptoms specifically to women since 2004.
In early February, I joined Go Red leaders in kicking off national heart month at the capitol with Governor Susana Martinez. Go Red’s next luncheon is at the end of February and offers breakout sessions with fitness experts and medical professionals.
